Netbook as Main Computer: The Five Minute Netbook Stand
As previously written, given the size of a netbook, you can face significant problems when it comes to posture as you’ll need to lean forward quite a bit and thus put a lot of strain on your back and neck. The issue and solution was explored here.
People have all sorts of elaborate ways to counteract the problem but the fundamentals do not change. If you can separate the keyboard and mouse with the monitor, you can achieve a lot better posture. You could either get an external monitor or use a external mouse and keyboard.
As inelegant as it seems, you can actually skip all the fancy netbook stands and go straight for what you have – thick books. Dictionaries, textbooks and technical manuals make for some of the best books that help you elevate your laptop to a level that is comfortable. One down side, on the other hand, is that you’ll actually be placing the screen further from you, and a 10″ screen at arms length is actually quite small. It’s not necessarily an issue unless you have problems seeing text from this distance, though.
All I can say is… AWWW YEAAAA
